Due to the technical restrictions of the maximum temperatures supported by the fabrics used in the filter sleeves, there is a need to cool the suction gases before they enter the dust collector.
For this purpose, various technologies exist, some of which involve the injection of air and/or water. However, these solutions have the disadvantage of increasing the volume of gases, which requires a larger post-cooling installation.
An effective alternative, as long as the characteristics of the gases and the process allow it, is the use of tubular heat exchangers.
The tubular heat exchanger usually has a vertical tower configuration with the gas inlet at the top and outlet at the bottom, although the configuration can also be inverted.
The hot gases pass through steel tubes, while ambient air is circulated around the outside of the tubes with the help of axial fans. The cooling of gases occurs by convection.
With the appropriate instrumentation and control logic, the cooling air flow rate is regulated to achieve a constant and admissible outlet gas temperature in order to be able to filter dusty gases.
AIR JET offers a wide range of solutions to control the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere in all types of industries.
